Another 350 pairs of shoes will be given to children of the Lancaster County Outreach Project by Renew Church, children of our Hispanic community by Olivo Verde Church, and children in Kershaw by Team Church.
EASTER COOKOUT - April 16th, 2011
April 16th we spent the afternoon with the boys & girls of the Lancaster Children's Home. It was a great time, in fact the time spent with them was precious. The food was really good and the kids enjoyed the activities which included Corn Hole, Wii Bowling, and hair coloring. All in all, the day could not have been any better. THANK YOU everyone who made this such a special time for the children. Prayerfully consider becoming a chaperone for the Children's Home so that we can have an even greater impact in their lives in the future.
FOOD TRUCK - March 12th, 2011 We distributed our sponsored Mobile Food Truck at Sherwood Baptist Church and it could not have went any better. Everyone worked hard, there was plenty of food, and the flow of those receiving food was perfect. It was a great day, if you missed this truck you can still get involved in future trucks scheduled for June 25th and September 24th. |
LANCASTER CHRISTMAS PARADE - 2010
Thanks to all those who came out to the Lancaster Christmas parade and helped serve our community. We gave out free cotton candy, hot chocolate, chips, homemade cookies and soft drinks to over 250 parade participators and spectators. Everyone enjoyed the festivities and interacting with the community was both enjoyable and rewarding. It felt good to be a blessing to others. |

"When I was hungry you fed me" (October 30, 2010)
Food Truck - BIG SUCCESS!!!!
The Food Truck we sponsored October 30th in partnership with Olivo Verde Church was a huge success! 11 from renew, 16 from Olivo Verde, and 7 from Christian Services worked together to "seize" the day for Jesus Christ. Over 1,000 people received food (366 families) and we enjoyed a great feast prepared by our Latino brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a blessing to be working side by side with others for the common good of those in need. To God be the glory!

Halloween Night (October 31, 2010)
| "Halloween in the Hood" was an absolute success, and it was a blast! We gave over 300 kids cotton candy, a bag of chips, and candy in Forest Hills. We played movie clips on the garage door with music; people were excited and thankful for all that we did. It was a great way to talk about our church and share the love of Jesus. It was a BIG hit...... Can't wait for next year! |
Back to School Shoe Event 2010
The August 7, 2010 Shoes for Back to School was a huge success. 700 pairs of shoes were given to children of Lancaster County with the help of local businesses and churches. Founders Federal Credit Union, The Springs Close Foundation, Lancaster Partners for Youth, Rapid Signs, Christian Services, and Wal-Mart provided the funding while Sherwood Baptist, Renew Church, Olivo Verde, Covenant Baptist and TEAM Church provided the manpower and organization to distribute the shoes. It was hard to tell who was happier: the children who received the shoes or the adults who provided the shoes. The goal for 2011 is 1,000 pairs, get prepared!
